For our client we are looking for an IT thought leader to run the IT Strategy Roadmap, who can build the bridge between business and IT, and who can provide a sounding board for the business in the technological evolution and innovation. **** KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Within his/her work stream several sub-work streams will be embedded. The senior project manager will be responsible for: Project Management set-up IT teams collaboration set-up Sub-Streams definition & set-up Assignment definition for each sub-stream Ensure communication between all teams. Manage brainstorming, reflection, and discussion groups. Methodology follow-up Risk management (including risk identification & mitigation) Global consolidated planning of all respective streams and OTOBOS follow-up (On Time, On Budget, On Scope, Quality) All the reporting to the responsible of Project Delivery IT and Account Management Take decisions for temporary process, intermediate solutions or other tasks or activities as required. Escalate and inform the steering committee of all strategic decisions required by the program or the large project The senior project manager is accountable for the overall success of the project as well as the delivery of the result. He/she ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget and meets user requirements. The senior project manager ensures that the project is correctly staffed and manages those resources on the project to meet critical milestones and objectives. The senior project manager ensures that all project members can commit to the proposed milestones. The senior project manager works closely with the customer and involved stakeholders to understand the needs of the business. He/she informs Steering Committee on project progress. **** MAIN TASKS Develops vision with customer Defines the project (scope, objectives and approach) Evaluates requirements to define project scope Estimates the project (budget and time) Develops and maintains detailed project plan Defines project staffing and resource allocation in close collaboration with ICAM (Staffing) and ICM (Competence management) Starts up the project (team structure, development environment and applicable processes) Monitors and controls the project Takes corrective actions when the actual status deviates from the plan Properly closes a project and releases project members on time Participates in the performance evaluation and coordinates feedback with community managers Identifies and manages constraints, expectations, issues and risks Enforces the use of standards Reports the status of the project to Steering Committee Manages relationships with suppliers and subcontractors and ensures they deliver according to plan and to requirements Conducts weekly status meeting with team Identifies the application manager who will maintain the project product as a major stakeholder and implements a collaboration agreement Organizes hand over and delivery of the project to all stakeholders **** MAJOR INTERACTIONS The senior project manager will report in direct line to Project Delivery Director who reports to CIO He will have frequent contact with: Executive Committee Members Members of IT and Business sides. Other IT Projects Managers. **** PEOPLE MGT Mentors his Program Project and Process (PPP) leaders/facilitators regarding their contribution to the project Manages a PPP team in a new and complex area guided by operational targets by using the assigned resources effectively and efficiently and accepted by the customer Head of a large (more than 10K man-day?s) or cross-functional team. Overall, the team members are experts and/or professionals from different technical domains. **** EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE We are seeking talent with strong analytical skills, solid intelligence and a broad IT insight, with deep experience in Bank and/or Insurance having also a solid program/project management background. Able to manage complex transversal programs and project for more than 10.000 man-day?s. Someone who is familiar with risk management, strategic planning, and innovation, with affinity to evolve across a complex multi-disciplinary environment. We are looking for team players, with a focus on the customer and on the quality with a proven track of record in consultative selling skills We need thought leaders **** TECHNICAL SKILLS Manage complex processes, projects, programs covering more than one technical or specialized domain: Specifically, transformation program management experience within a large company is an asset. Project Management: PMI or Prince2. Anticipates trends and/or customer behavior which demand a good knowledge of the market and the organization. 5 to 10 years of relevant business/technical experience in Bank or Insurance environment is a plus. **** MANAGEMENT/STRATEGIC SKILLS Ensures that the project is aligned with operational targets and implemented. Drives internal resources and manages issues with a span of control of 12 months. Uses broader systems /processes knowledge to solve more complex problems. Prepares and negotiates bids in collaboration with other actors in the project At least 10 years proven experience in large project management role and in time boxing Project Management Able to autonomously develop a strategy in various IT domains, even if previous experience in one or more domains is lacking. To this end, the candidate?s thinking process is defined by company?s operational goals. Medium to major accountability for innovation re-engineering, market penetration, etc. Frequent interaction with line management and internal/external customers or suppliers/consultants Change management/ control at an operational level inside and outside the organisation Major role in negotiating and interacting (internal networking) with other parts of the organization and market Is exposed to a large variety of situations requiring advanced analysis and interpretation skills Drives innovative projects on an business level requiring complex multi-disciplinary and organisational structure **** Languages: Fluent NL/FR/English **** Interpersonal/non-technical skills Able to manage complex processes, projects, programs covering more than one technical or specialized domain with many sub-subjects with a clear overview and understanding of all the interdependencies.
