Since 2007, the Project Management Institute has been working on the development of a new project risk management credential. Our research indicated that there’s a need for recognition of specialized skills, knowledge and experience for those progressing in project risk management. 

Now, we are very excited to announce the launch of the new PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP). The PMI-RMP recognizes those who provide expertise in the specialized area of assessing and identifying project risks along with plans to mitigate threats and capitalize on opportunities.
