Becoming part of PMI Belgium, a large and active community of project and program management professionals in Belgium and Luxembourg, is a three step process, of which step01 and step02 are mandatory while step03 is optional.

Although a paper based form exists, it is highy recommended to use the web based form.

In case you need any additional assistance on this process, feel free to contact our Director of Membership, using the "Contact PMI Board" button.

Step01 Join PMI Global Community (Mandatory)

If you want to become a member of PMI Belgium, first of all you need to become a member of the PMI worldwide organization. The PMI global community currently has more than 260,000 professionals in over 171 countries.

For more detail, see the PMI Membership pages

If you are already a Project Management professional, then the ‘individual membership’ will be your choice. If you are still enrolled in a degree granting program, then you can go for the ‘student membership’

Individual membership:

You can register yourself by using one of the two methods below:

  1. Using the website through the marketplace section http://www.pmi.org/Marketplace/Pages/default.aspx?category=MembershipIndividual
  2. By downloading the PMI EMEA application form, from http://www.pmi.org/GetInvolved/Pages/Student-Memberships.aspx

Student membership:

You can only register through the PMI application form: http://www.pmi.org/GetInvolved/Pages/Student-Memberships.aspx

Don’t forget to include the verification document of the enrollment into a degree granting program.

Step02 Join PMI BE (Mandatory)

On the application form or through the marketplace you can also choose to join a local chapter. There is a small additional fee to be paid to become registered as a member of the PMI Belgium chapter and receive all benefits that come with it.

Step03 Join SIGs (Optional)

On the application form or through the marketplace you can also choose to join one or more Specific Interest Groups (SIG’s). There is a small additional fee to be paid per SIG to become a registered member of that SIG and receive the benefits that come with it.  The free webinars organized regularly by many SIGs are great!

See the link http://www.pmi.org/GetInvolved/Pages/PMI-Specific-Interest-Groups.aspx for an overview of all the SIG’s currently known within the PMI organization.
